In July 2020, Professor Shereen Hussein was interviewed by SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management, to discuss the challenges and opportunities in relation to the employment of older people in the Middle East.
Professor Hussein highlights the limited opportunity of meaningful work for older people without previous connections. She also draws attention to the inability of some older people to choose not to work at old age due to poverty and the need for income.
